Flender is expanding the portfolio of its flexible coupling series N-Eupex by introducing three new types. The new products enable customers further flexibility in their methods with out losing the compact design and high load capability of a pin coupling.
The new N-Eupex ERN is supplied with a torque limiter, which provides much more
safety in the drivetrain in many purposes. The coupling variant permits users to
specify a most torque in order that critical torques for the motor and output machine
aren’t transmitted. Machines and methods are protected against overload and
harm, thus considerably growing system availability.
With the N-Eupex B plus clamping component, Flender introduces a second new
coupling that ensures frictionally engaged clamping connections. In this case, the
plain, cylindrical machine shaft finish is linked to the coupling hub through a clamping
connection without a feather key and repair capability is increased. For example,
assembly or alternative of worn elastomers can be carried out far more simply.
No connecting machine components have to be moved, the time required is halved
and so is the downtime of the machine.
With the N-Eupex DKS, a new double-cardanic coupling is launched as a “short
version” into Flender’s modular system. While เกจวัดแรงดัน250bar , which was launched in
2020, addresses the pump market with standard expansion pieces for normed shaft
distances, the DKS is the shortest potential double-cardanic answer for the market.
The shortened total size permits cost-optimized use with a small shaft distance
dimension without shedding the advantages of a double-cardanic coupling connection.
New elastomers for the pin couplings round off the modular extensions. In addition
to the previously used rubber parts manufactured from NBR, Flender now additionally provides
elastomers made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). Following the torque
improve for all N-Eupex couplings with NBR packings in 2020, the use of TPU
packings permits the power density to be elevated by one other 20 % on
common. For sizes 300 and above, the acquainted NBR elastomer is mixed with
fabric inserts and the torque capacity is again raised.
“With a view to the lengthy custom of cam couplings, our improvement engineers are
systematically working on rising the number of combinations even further. The
2022 enhancements give our customers a extensive range of sustainable options for
optimizing their machines and techniques much more and decreasing maintenance,”
explains André Artmann, Head of Coupling Sales.
