Svanehøj wins gas pump order for 15 LNG dual-fuel container vessels

Orders for dual-fuel LNG vessels broke all records in 2021 with a complete of 240 ships globally. That is more than the previous 4 years combined. And growth seems set to proceed unabated in 2022.
According to data from classification society DNV, orders for fifty six dual-fuel LNG vessels have been positioned in January and February.This change in demand has created quite a buzz at Svanehøj. The Danish marine pump specialist quadrupled gross sales of its patented deepwell gasoline pumps in 2021, and there are many indications that sales might enhance even additional in 2022.
Svanehøj has simply secured an order for gas pump methods for 15 dual-fuel LNG container vessels (7,000 TEU), which are to be constructed at Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding. The total of 30 deepwell fuel pumps will be delivered from August 2022 to January 2024. The order is amongst Svanehøj’s largest relating to LNG gasoline to date. It is the second time within the last 12 months that this buyer has chosen Svanehøj because the supplier of LNG gas pump systems. In July 2021, they signed a contract for deepwell pumps for 10 dual-fuel LNG container vessels (15,000 TEU).

Large funding in lean manufacturing and new gear
To assist the green transition of the maritime industry, Svanehøj is presently investing more than DKK 10 million in upgrading its manufacturing amenities in Denmark. A new factory format with manufacturing cells and robotics will assist Svanehøj’s bold development strategy and scale back lead instances for all merchandise.

Svanehøj has entered 2022 with a brand new strategy and a target of doubling its turnover to DKK 1 billion ($152 million) by the tip of 2026.
