The Danish marine pump specialist Svanehøj has been awarded a contract to supply pump techniques for two LNG fuelled carriers that will transport liquid CO2 to the Northern Lights project’s storage amenities in Norway.

Northern Lights is growing infrastructure to move CO2 from industrial emitters in Norway and other European countries by ship to a receiving terminal in western Norway for intermediate storage, earlier than being transported by pipeline for everlasting storage in a geological reservoir 2,600 m underneath the seabed.
