Flowserve to produce pumps for information centre cooling

Working with pressure gauge , Flowserve Corp has secured a contract to offer 5,000 industrial course of pumps to TMGcore Inc, a Texas-based provider of high-performance computing options and a specialist in liquid immersion cooling know-how.

The Flowserve pumps shall be used in patented immersion cooling units designed by TMGcore. The pumps will flow into dielectric fluids, which allow heat dissipation and cooling of servers within single-phase immersion cooled units.
Unlike conventional data centres, today’s applied sciences like synthetic intelligence, deep learning, the Internet of Things (IoT), and cloud computing require a significantly larger amount of information to be processed – increasing the necessity for increased server capability. As stakeholders look to cut back vitality consumption in data centres, there is a rising demand for immersion cooling technology. Immersion cooling can deal with greater warmth masses in high-density servers at a minimal cost, and it is also extra energy efficient than traditional air cooling.
“Liquid cooling has dramatically extra capability to remove warmth than air cooling and has been confirmed to be more practical. A crucial part of immersion-cooled models are commercial-grade pumps that move and recirculate fluid,” explains John-David Enright Sr, CEO of TMGcore. “Flowserve has demonstrated each its dedication to this sustainability-friendly know-how and its quality of customer support to us as a commercial customer.”
